"Very romantic western."
Elena Malone will never forget the face of the man who
raped her two years ago - her son, Nicky, looks just like
him. Deciding it's time she talks to her father about
getting out of the medicine show business and finding a
more stable home for Nicky, she starts to discuss the
subject with him just as they're suddenly taken over by
Mexican rebels. The leader is none other than Ramon de la
Vega, the man who raped Elena. When Ramon sees Nicky, he
knows the boy is his son, so he takes him and flees,
leaving Elena and her father to die in the Texas forest. After being out of the country for six years working as a
mercenary, Jeb Carson is glad to be back on American soil,
giving in to his friend Creed's request of going to
California to settle down. After they find Elena and her
father, Elena becomes hysterical when she learns her son
has been taken. Jeb volunteers to help her get him back,
while Creed takes care of her father. As Jeb learns Elena's story, he's determined for her to
trust him and turns on the charm, while she tries to act
like he doesn't affect her. However, that doesn't last
long, and Elena is soon fantasizing about him. While being
held up waiting for reinforcements, both are discouraged
about not seeing each other when their ordeal is over.
Making love seems to be the only thing they can do to let
the other know how they feel. This story is extremely romantic. It's nice watching the
manly man discover he can love and the wounded bird find
her wings.
