REVIEW

"Author's debut is a sexy, hilarious romp with the right touch of suspense."

Betsy Tremaine's book reviews strike fear in the hearts of authors, and none more so than handsome mystery writer Det. Soldier McKennitt. Determined to find out what it is about his books that Ms. Tremaine doesn't like, he begins an e- mail dialog with her.

But poor Betsy gives the wrong impression when she consumes a little too much liquor and sends him a scathing reply. She thinks he must be a musty, old, decrepit weasel wasting his time pretending to be a writer. Soldier decides Ms. Tremaine has to be an elderly, wart-ridden old drunk locked up in her house with nothing better to do than run down other people's work.

Of course, they have entirely the wrong impression of each other, as they discover when they accidentally meet at a mystery writers' conference. WOW! The sparks just fly! But Betsy has a dangerous problem. She's being stalked and, when the people around her begin to pop up dead, Soldier comes to the rescue. His detective training kicks in and he won't stop until he's caught the murderous fiend.

This debut by Ms. Stillings is a sexy romp with loads of laugh-out-loud humor. Her dialog is witty and engaging and continues till the last page. I highly recommend buying this book and keeping it.
