"The sequel to the Bride series!"
Finally we get the third book in the Bride sequel
from Terri Brisbin. I highly anticipated this one and with
good reason! In this book we are told the story of Geoffrey, the
brother to Christian Dumont from THE DUMONT BRIDE and
Catherine, the sister of Royce from THE NORMAN'S BRIDE.
Finally things have come full circle. Even though Emalie Dumont, Christian's wife, hates
William (Royce) DeSeverin she's taken Catherine in because
she knows that Catherine couldn't help being used like she
was. Emalie also knows that Catherine and Geoffrey have
feelings for each other but that Christian hated Royce so
much that he killed him (or so she thought) and doesn't
want his family associated with the family. Catherine was so traumatized that she has lost her
memory of the time she spent under the care of Prince John.
She has strong feelings for Geoffrey but knows that he must
marry well in order to add to his coffers. She knows when
he does finally choose a wife, she will enter the convent
because her heart will be broken but she accepts this as
her fate. The thing is that fate can be funny sometimes. This
is one of those times. Geoffrey hears one of the knights
sending a message to his master telling him where Catherine
is and that she's been recognized as she's been hiding from
Prince John when she escaped. So he quickly decides that if
he enters into a betrothal contract with her then he can
keep her safe. The problem is that darn fate again. It can make a
person doubt the truth and can twist things to where they
are not what they seem to be. Can Catherine and Geoffrey
get past all of the lies and deception and find the
happiness they deserve? Read the book to find out. As much as enjoyed this whole series, I was loath
to see it end. Terri Brisbin makes the medieval era come to
life with her words in such a way that I can see each vivid
scene in my mind's eye. As always I look forward to more of
her books!

SummaryAs a bride, she was worthless. Indeed, Catherine de Severin
could offer nothing in the way of power and land. A
penniless orphan with a shadowed past, she was not a
suitable match for a comte destined to control vast
holdings. But Geoffrey Dumont cared not, and would defy
anyone — even royalty — who kept his fair Cate from him!
A loving marriage denied her, her memory a blur, Catherine
de Severin had accepted her cloistered fate. But when
Geoffrey Dumont, her soulfriend and truest love, abducted
her from the nunnery, afire with reckless plans for a
future together, her heart embraced him with a passion too
strong to be denied!
