"Take a peek into someone else's hard drive."
Take a cyber trip into the lives of three women and catch
a glimpse of the men that touch their lives. See the true
friendship, the flirtation, the heartbreak, and all the
problems that surround them. Meet Amber Fleece, id foreveramber, a twenty-eight year
old single woman living in Boston who is the Director of
Traffic at Millennia Marketing, an ad agency. She just
became a member of Classreunion.com and her link to Gray
McDermott. A man who helped relieve her of her virginity
ten years ago at prom and gave her the best summer of her
life. The one man that doesn't fit her profile of a
perfect match, but whose instant messages and emails melt
her bones just as much as his touch did in the past.
Amber has fallen in love with Gray, but when her life
takes an ugly turn, she ends up shutting him out instead. Meet Stephanie "Stevie" Hilliard, id wonderwoman, a thirty-
five year old married woman, who left her fast paced Vice
President job at Millennia Marketing for the life of
motherhood and her husband, Brent's career. Then one day a
message pops up on her computer, a blast from the past.
Tom Markoff was a man whom she lusted after so very long.
A man she never slept with but sure wishes she had. And
now that a dark cloud has covered her happy world of
marital bliss, the only man who is there for her now is
Tom. Meet Julie Desmond, id jdesmond, a forty-five year old
divorced woman who is the administrative assistant to
Amber. She took her boss's suggestion and googled an old
boyfriend. John was a former pitcher for the Cincinnati
Reds and a man she had a huge crush on but never acted on
it. Not that he didn't offer, but her refusal and his
walking away ended any relationship they would have had.
Now twenty-five years later, she is back in touch with
John Rush and learning to be the woman her husband always
held her back from being and becoming the best of friends
with Amber and Stevie. HIT REPLY is a phenomenal story that will not only tickle
your funny bone, but touch the deepest parts of your heart
and soul. I actually felt like I was a part of the
challenges going on in Stevie, Amber and Julie's lives.
Even though the story is all computer based, emails and
instant messaging, you don't really miss a thing because
Ms. St. Claire fills in the blanks that don't happen on
screen perfectly. It really makes you think about what
you say and how much you communicate to others via the
internet and how close to home this story really hits to
everyday life. The concept of an entire story as emails
and instant messaging was very intriguing to me and turned
out to be the best story I have ever read. Engrossed in
the story is an understatement! Once I started, I never
stopped reading until I turned the very last page. A
story that has your laughing out loud one minute, then
tearing up the next is a best seller in my book; HIT REPLY
is one book you don't want to miss and makes the perfect
gift for your friends, online and off.
