REVIEW

"Highly enjoyable historical romance."

Kitty Robertson, an American heiress, spies a magnificent and powerful naked man swimming off the Cornish coast at sunrise. Ashamed that her coarse roots are showing when the surge of lust engulfs her, Kitty tries unsuccessfully to envision her future husband, the Marquess of Farthingham. The marquess, a sweet man, makes her feel safe and doesn't stir unwanted base feelings within her. Adopted as an infant, Kitty never forgets she is the biological daughter of a wicked woman.

Richard Stanbury, the sixth Duke of Weddington, gazes upon a siren and feels a primal attraction that astounds him. Normally, Richard is a conservative and responsible man, who never acts upon impulse, but not this time. Richard wants her and goes to great lengths to discover her identity. Richard is devastated to discover his best friend is marrying the seaside nymph. Realizing Kitty is making a dreadful mistake by marrying the marquess, Richard attempts to sabotage their relationship.

Richard's seduction plan works as confusion rules Kitty. She craves the marquess' safe and secure friendship and the stability he represents, but desire drives Kitty into Richard's arms. Richard and Kitty must grapple with their sense of honor and their duty.

AN INVITATION TO SEDUCTION is a very pleasant story. The ending climax feels a bit contrived, but under Ms. Heath's deft talent, it's only a bump in reading this highly enjoyable romance.
