"Reality TV hits smalltown"
Mick Winchester never thought he would see his college
girlfriend Caro Lamb ever again. Last he saw her she was on
her way to Hollywood to work as a producer. He gets the
surprise of his life when Caro walks back into his life, as
a client looking for someplace to rent while she films her
reality tv show in his hometown of Derryville, Illinois. The last thing Caro expects is to see her former boyfriend
in the real estate office, but unfortunately he is the only
agency in town. She is sure she can resist his charms.
Things go from bad to worse, when there is an actual murder
on the set and the main suspect is Mick's sister Sophie who
has just come out as popular horror writer R.F. Colt. Whether you are a fan of reality tv or not, you will surely
love KILLING TIME. I loved this book from the first page
until the last and I really hated to see it end. Not only
do we have the romance between Mick and Caro, but there is
a secondary one between Jacey one of the camera operators
of the show and Digg the hunky fireman who is one of the
shows contestants. Ms Kelly does something that is also
cool, she brings back characters from her novella and has
them as an integral part of the story as Sophie finds
herself under suspicion for murder. A word of warning though, you may find yourself hearing TV
theme songs in your head. KILLING TIME really blew me away and I hope that there are
more single titles in the future from Leslie Kelly. Barb Hicks

SummaryShe's got TV ratingsand legsto die
for!
Killing Time in a Small Town describes how bad boy Mick
Winchester has been feeling about his life
latelyuntil a reality TV show by that name rolls
into his hometown. And the producer is none other than
Caroline Lamb...Mick's college sweetheart and his one true
love. But gone is the sweet southern girl with big-city
dreams. This Caroline is a Hollywood hotshotall
wrapped up in a thousand-dollar power suit and killer
spike heels.
Caroline isn't the barracuda she pretends to bejust
desperate to make her murder-mystery reality show a hit.
And when a real corpse turns up on the set, the network
bosses are ecstatic. Think of the ratings! But actual
murder is way too much realityeven for Caroline.
Especially when getting real with Mick is all that really
matters .
