"Another Bordeaux Sister's Story"
Middle sister Cerise Bordeaux is seeking her lost sister.
Heedless of
the danger, she finds her way into the dangerous,
deceptive Hellsing
Wood. She comes face to face with the Vampire Lord Daegon
Erlansson,
and finds herself the prey in his impulsive cat-and-mouse
game.
Quickly captured, Cerise finds herself completely at the
mercy of the
vampire. Daegon is not the type of man to spit on a woman freely
offered... even
if she didn't really intend to offer herself in the first
place.
Beautiful and dynamic, the middle Bordeaux sister awakens
something
in him that he thought long dead. RED AS BLOOD is the second in de Winter's Bordeaux Sisters
trilogy,
though reading the first novella is not necessary to
comprehend and
enjoy Cerise and Daegon's story. Its chief characteristic
is sex, and
some readers may find the inclusion of bondage scenes and
mild
punishment (spanking) not to their liking, but there is a
spark of
classic vampire romance lurking beneath the gyrating
bodies and long,
heated looks. Not totally emotionally convincing, but
enjoyable to
those looking for a more carnal vampire read, RED AS BLOOD
is a
solidly relationship-oriented story with strong shades of
the classic
Beauty and the Beast tale. A fine read, but not for those
looking for
sweetness or intellectual vampirism.

But when he took her in his arms and arched her neck deeply
for his kiss, it wasn't fear for her life that consumed her.
At his mercy in every way, Cerise must fight the dizzying
rush of passion that assails her at his every punishment ...
his every kiss ... if she is ever to see her homeland again.
