"A great addition to a heartwarming series!"

This next book in The First Family of Texas series deals with secrets and lies. It is a riveting novel and had me anxious to see how it would be resolved.

Gideon First finally finds the woman he wants to spend the rest of his life with. She's a widow with two children. As a matter of fact her mother-in-law lives with her in order to help her take care of her children while she finishes up her college degree.

Then Gideon is thrown for a loop when a lawyer contacts him telling him that an ex-girlfriend, Becky, has named him the father of her baby, Janna, in her will. Becky had been killed in a car accident weeks before. Now, Gideon doesn't know what to do. Should he try and claim his fourteen-month-old child or should he let Becky's parents adopt her.

Lupe, Gideon's fiancé, knows that Gideon is preoccupied and when he finally tells her about his daughter, she's stunned that he's lied to her as he told her that it was clearly a case of mistaken identity. She also cannot believe that Gideon would just give his daughter up for adoption. Does she really know Gideon as well as she thought she did?

Gideon takes a trip to meet his daughter and one look is all it takes for him to fall in love with his beautiful daughter and to claim her for his own. Now if he can just convince Lupe to accept her as well, he will be the happiest man alive. This may take some doing but he's willing to try.

I have thoroughly enjoyed K. N. Casper's First Family books and eagerly await the next one in the series. Not only have I enjoyed reading about the central characters in each book but I also feel as if I have come to know the whole family in this heartwarming series.

Summary
