REVIEW

"Lively and amusing romantic suspense."

Jolie Goodman has goals. Her integrity leads her away from a dishonest boss toward a real estate career as her own boss. Her goals never included high society or scandalous party crashing. Yet, with the help of some imaginative coworkers at Neiman Marcus, where Jolie is working in shoe sales to build up her bank account, she winds up in the middle of some high society parties. Never in a million years would she dream of crashing a party. The only reason she's agreed to this madness is that she's searching for clues about a boyfriend who disappeared - with her car.

Jolie drops names and wears conspicuous disguises. She gets noticed and soon is trying to shake the feeling that someone is watching her, waiting to do her harm. This exclusive circle brings the same men into the mix, one that Jolie is definitely attracted to and others who make her feel wary. When Jolie finds herself a suspect for murder, her problems crash from bad to disastrous.

Ms. Bond has created an amusing romantic suspense. Her characters are lively, creative and daring, and the plot moves smoothly and quickly. Soon you find yourself laughing while also worrying for Jolie's safety. A truly enjoyable read.
