"Amusing characters in a memorable story."
Small-town girl Moni Lawrence decides to leave Dukin,
Virginia, and move to the big city of San Diego. She needs
a fresh start after the death of her beloved Aunt Reggie,
who wanted Moni to make her mark on the world. Tired, sleep-
deprived and now lost, Moni is trying to find the new home
she's recently purchased in the San Diego area. As Moni is driving around, looking for the location of her
house, Grant Forrest, marital therapist and early riser, is
preparing to start his day. With only a towel wrapped
around his waist, he goes to get the morning paper that's
just been dropped on his doorstep. While reaching for the
paper, Grant's feline companion slips out and heads into
the street. Realizing his cat is in danger of being run
over by the approaching car, Grant pursues it. Suddenly, a
naked man appears in Moni's line of vision, she loses
control of her car and ends up in Grant's swimming pool. Moni continues to have mishaps in her life with Grant
coming to her rescue. You see, Moni has DDS syndrome -
Damsel in Distress. Both Moni and Grant are attracted to
each other, but he's unwilling to commit to a relationship
after two failed marriages. Grant thinks it's best to stay
uncommitted and struggles with the fact that he's drawn to
Moni's slow Southern drawl and her physique. Moni is
searching for a soul mate and thinks she might have found
him in Grant, whom she's powerfully attracted to. With the
help of her amusing friends, Moni will have to use all her
feminine wiles and charm to get her man. WEDDING BELL BLUES is a fun, easy, enjoyable read with
amusing characters and a memorable storyline.

SummaryHe's everything a girl could want...
And everything this girl wants to run from!
Moni Lawrence can't believe her good fortune! Thanks to an
unexpected inheritance, she's leaving her tiny Virginia
hometown in the dust and heading west to spread her wings
and fly free. But she makes more of a splash than she
intended in San Diego, when she's so distracted by the
sight of a naked man, she drives her car through his fence
and into his swimming pool. It's understandable, since
Grant Forrest is so fine he'd turn any woman's head. And
when it's been decided (in court!) that Moni has to
personally repair the damage -- and is going to be around
him a lot -- she knows she'd better keep her passion in
check, or else she might end up uttering those deadly,
reedom-suffocating words, "I do!"
Of course, Grant's been disastrously down that aisle twice
already and isn't looking for Mrs. Number Three. Besides,
he obviously thinks Moni's just a sexy, perky, destructive
featherhead and serious trouble.
But what's that glint in his dreamy dark eyes?
