"Wonderful Christmas Story"
This is a free download at Kathy's site for donations to
the
Humane Society in honor of her kitty who died. This is without a doubt one of the sweetest
renditions of A Christmas Carol I've ever read. I
thoroughly enjoyed each and every page. Daphne is one of the most irreverent angels there
ever is. She curses, she drinks, she argues about every
little thing! She insists that her death is a big mistake
and Leonard from the Angelic Council agrees but there's not
much choice. What's done is done. The Angelic Council had
no way of knowing she'd step in front of that Lieutenant
Danvers in Vietnam and save his life at the cost of hers.
Now the Angelic Council has to figure out what to do about
it. They finally decide to send Daphne back on
Christmas Eve to Nathaniel Danvers, son of the very
lieutenant whose life she saved. She has to show him the
error of his ways. He's going to fire his own cousin from
the company among other things. Surely there's a heart in
there somewhere. It's up to Daphne to try to find it and
melt that heart of ice! The Angelic Council has no way of predicting that
Daphne and Nat will fall in love. Now they really have a
situation on their hands. How in the world will they ever
resolve this one? Kathy Carmichael knows the secret to writing sweet
romances. Her books are such a joy to read. I avidly look
forward to her next book.
