"Love and Family"
Libby teaches second grade in the small town of Whitefish,
Montana and although she desperately wants children of her
own, she has not found the right man after her divorce
twelve years earlier. She has been dating a nice man but
she just cannot find the spark in their relationship. It
is quite a shock when Kylie joins her class, her ex-
husband's child. Kylie is suffering from the loss of her
mother and has decided that she hates school and no one
likes her. She is a sad and hurting little girl. Trent has finally grown up. When he was married to Libby,
he had only wanted excitement with no responsibilities,
but now, he has a daughter who is grieving and needs him.
He comes to town to go into business with a friend and is
pleased that Libby will be his little girl's teacher. He
finds himself attracted to her all over again and although
she is still attracted to him, she does not trust that he
has really changed. He wants to do right by his daughter
and thinks seriously about getting back together with
Libby. She, in turn, realizes that her expectations had
been too high and in order to have a good and loving
relationship, secrets must be revealed and communication
open. THE WRONG MAN is a story about a couple that married too
young so that their marriage is short lived. Now the hero
is back, emotionally mature, ready to be a family man and
make a good life for himself and his daughter. He wants
Libby to be part of their lives and wonders if it is too
late for them to have a good relationship. His in-laws
complicate the matter but they all find they have things
to learn about love and family. It is a well paced story
and an excellent read as the reader comes to care for all
of the characters. Laura Abbot has added another winner
to her long list of Harlequin Super Romances in THE WRONG
MAN.
