"Great storytelling"
Forty-four years old loner Lauren Fowler is such a scared
cat, even normally kind people pick on her. Her recent
birthday was ignored by everyone and at the bookstore
where she works she is treated with disdain. Everything
changes when Synthian Cree arrives at the store where
Lauren works. He is not only nice to her, a revelation to
the normally abused female, but he seems to court her as
if he loves her. Even more surprising is the increase in
nastiness towards Lauren followed by terrible incidents
haunting those who hurt her. As much as he blew into her life, Synthian just simply
vanishes without a warning or a trace. Though out of
character for how she has lived for four plus decades
Lauren begins investigating who Synthian is, why he sought
her out, and what happened to him? Lauren is unaware that
the shocking answers could cost her more than just her
heart and her life as her very soul could be on the line
since he is spellbound to be loyal and obey her nasty
cousin though he loves Lauren. This is an exciting paranormal romance starring two
delightful star-crossed lovers and a selfish villainous
soul using their love against them. The support cast has
a mob mentality when it comes to Lauren so when Synthian
retaliates, he surprisingly will receive accolades from
the audience for protecting his woman. Readers will enjoy
this stupendous smooth synthesizing of The Ugly Duckling
with My Demon Lover that displays the skill of Charlotte
Boyett Compo as a top rate author. Harriet Klausner
