"Fun-filled, enlightening sports mystery."
Caddy turned LPGA pro Cassie Burdette wants nothing more
than to play golf. So, when she fails to make the original
tour cut, she jumps at the chance to be the touring pro at
the posh Stony Creek Country Club. Not only does she get
free room and board, she can practice her game to her
heart's content. All this, while earning a nice little
paycheck to boot. It almost sounds too good to be true.
Trouble is, Cassie has a bad habit of finding dead bodies,
no matter where she plays through. Little does Cassie know, she's about to slice into a whole
course of trouble. From environmental landscaping
enthusiasts to a women's equal opportunity advocate,
there's no shortage of politics and hard feelings. While
she's teaching and sleuthing, Cassie must navigate through
her own card, full of past and present love, not to mention
dealing with a long-lost father. When death plays a course
fraught with more hazards than holes, it's up to Cassie to
play the very best game of her life. Isleib manages to get the reader right into the swing of
her deadly game. There's never a dull moment, even for
those who don't play the game. Her colorful words and
insight successfully hook even the most rank amateur. Even
if you're not a fan of the game, this book is a fun-filled,
enlightening read and highly recommended. Play on!
