"Fun and witty whodunit."
Lacie Baxter, cheerful, sexy, gorgeous and Miss Kansas
Summer Squash, has come up missing after making an
appearance at Mercer's Drug Store. FBI agent Ben Camaglia
is called in to work the case. Ben thinks this might be the
big break that finally gets him out of the one-man office
in Klaber Falls. Just as Ben starts to investigate, Lacie reappears. As far
as the town, and Lacie, are concerned, the case is closed.
But Ben has other ideas and some potential suspects to be
checked out. He wants to get to the bottom of who's out to
hurt Lacie. Lacie is attracted to Ben, who sends her senses into
overload. He's also drawn to Lacie - her eyes, her lips,
her beauty. Soon, secrets that have been hidden for years
about Lacie's life start to emerge. As a result, she's
forced to make some difficult choices, wondering if the
love of her life will still be there at the end. The small-town setting, as well as comic wit and a whodunit
theme, make this a really fun story.
