Fifteen years a cop and a decade at homicide, Detective Thomas Cavanah still flinches when he smells murder. Perhaps his stomach churning may be linked to the death of his daughter Amy probably at the hands of serial killer Lucifer. Thomas is obsessed with bringing this devil to justice.

Highly regarded surgeon Nikki Adenike is lonely as no man has ever fulfilled her deepest fantasy of submitting herself in sexual servitude to a dominant male. She surfs the net researching what many would proclaim as porn hoping to find someone and actually does. However, instead of meeting her Richard, Nikki encounters Lucifer. She fortunately escapes from the killer. Thomas realizes that Nikki is the bait to catch Lucifer who never lets a fish escape. However, Thomas also finds vengeance has quite an ironic cost as he begins to fall in love with the doctor who is the bait to hook Lucifer.

This heated erotic romantic police procedural is a powerful tale that showcases the talent of author Jaid Black to combine a dark suspense plot with an exhilarating sexual romance. The story line is action packed whether the plot is in the boudoir or involves some perilous encounter with Lucifer. Still the key to what makes this tale above the typical erotica and serial killer themed novels is the growth of the lead couple who like the killer were ruled by obsession, but unlike Lucifer moved on with love.

Summary
