"The sexy doctor learns there is more to life."

Dr. Hudson Stack had two choices: take a vacation and get healthy, or lose his position as top surgeon at Boston General. Hudson chose to take his boss's advice and go to Cottonwood, Texas to do some fishing. Besides, he could use the time with his daughter. Becoming famous for inventing the artificial valve for heart patients has him constantly working, leaving him with little time to spend Bethany. So just the two of them pack up and head off to the little town of Cottonwood to learn to fish and spend some quality time with each other.

For Amanda Dewhurst, life was about being the top selling realtor. Her life is predictable and very much organized. That was until she caught a glimpse of the very sexy Hudson Stack and his adorable daughter. Thinking Hudson is a down- on-his-luck dad, looking for a new start with his daughter; Amanda takes them under her wing, showing them all the wonderful things they could be doing in her small town.

Spending all this time with Amanda has Hudson feeling there is more to life than the constant hustle of the big city. He can save lives anywhere; he doesn't have to be in Boston to do it. The thing is Amanda doesn't know who he really is. Will she still melt in his arms when she finds out the truth or will Hudson be going back to his lonely bachelor life in Boston?

Bethany steals the show in this story. She is adorable and has had her own way for far too long, thanks to her overworked father. It's great to see that not only do Amanda and Hudson fall for each other, but Bethany falls in love with Amanda too. This is a very heart-warming story that will keep you turning the pages until the very end. I'm looking forward to reading Kara Lennox's next story BOUNTY HUNTER RANSOM, coming out in February 2004.
