"Going back home"
Some people believe in that old adage that you can never go
home again and one of those people that believes that is
Simon Riley. It has been 17 years since he last saw LaRue,
Oregon and the girl he left behind, Ellen Kent. When Simon's uncle dies, Simon is determined to clean up
his uncle's house and get back on the road. But like all
good intentions, he never quite makes it. He made a mistake
by going to see El again and finding out that El is even
more beautiful then he remembered. He has a hard
time keeping his hands off of her. But what if she wants
his hands on her? Ellen had given up on Simon ever returning. In fact she has
gotten engaged to Brad Mitchell, the son of one of the
wealthiest families in town. She doesn't feel any of the
passion she felt for Simon, but she wants to get married
and have babies. All her plans go out the window the
minute she looks into Simon Riley's eyes again. From the moment I picked up Shannon McKenna's RETURN TO ME,
until the moment I put it down, I was captivated by the
strong characters of Simon and El as well as the secondary
characters that can only come in a small town like LaRue.
RETURN TO ME is very, very hot and just may make you jump
your significant other after reading the scorching love
scenes. RETURN TO ME may also make you reach for the tissues after
reading the personal struggle Simon must go through to
realize that he is not as bad as everyone, including him,
thinks he is. Shannon McKenna just gets better with each book and I
cannot wait for her next book. Barb Hicks
