"The first book in The Bachelorette Pact"

Jessica Barnes has big dreams and she wants it all. She was the first in her family to graduate from college and she hopes to be the first to make Vice President of Hard- Wire Networks, the company she works for. Her secret goal is to one day own a Porsche.

Then JCN decides to buy out Hard-Wire Networks and Jessica knows this could be a disaster for her and her job. Adam Taylor is their hatchet man and he's tough. He is known for cutting everything down to the bare bones to get a fair price for the company. He's also everything Jessica could ever want in a man but he's the enemy.

The minute Adam sees Jessica he wants her but he knows this may be an impossibility considering the reason he's there in the first place. He tries very hard to see her as just a number when he starts crunching but sometimes things have a way of not working out exactly like you want them to.

Adam decides to get to know Jessica a little so he asks her out. Jessica wants to refuse but she's very curious and when she finds out that he drives a Porsche, she doesn't know what to think?

I really enjoyed the way Kathleen O'Reilly handled Jessica and Adam's relationship. Jessica was a strong character and even though she knew what she wanted, she also realized that sometimes things just don't work out exactly right or do they? Adam knew what he wanted as well and decided he'd do his best to figure out exactly he and Jessica could both get exactly what they wanted and have their happily ever after. This first book in The Bachelorette Pact is a great beginning to what looks to be a wonderful series.
