"Dane, Alec and Harris"
I am admittedly a big Lori Foster fan, she has been an
autobuy for me ever since she released her first book. Now
there are a lot of
readers out there who are discovering what a good writer Ms
Foster is and are searching for her backlist, luckily for
them they have
a chance to get two of Ms Foster's hardest books to find,
BEGUILED and WANTON, plus there is the added bonus of
UNCOVERED an original
novella included in FALLEN ANGELS. In BEGUILED, Dane Carter is impersonating his late twin
Derek. Derek died in a suspicious death a few months
earlier and in a
move to stop panic in his family's company he assumed his
dead twin's identity. One of the people he is sure knows
something
about what happened to his brother is Angel Morris the
woman Derek was seeing before his death. Someone has been stalking Angel with phone calls and she
has no choice but to turn to the man who scorned her months
earlier.
When she goes to Derek's office there is something that is
different about him. Angel is hoping that "Derek" will
help her find
out who is terrorizing her and maybe accept the son that
they share. Dane is surprised at the depth of the feelings that he has
for Angel, and he will do everything to protect his new
found family. Will
Angel accept Dane once she realizes that he is not Derek? In WANTON, Alec Sharpe has fought his attraction to Celia
Carter for eighteen long months and is now determined to do
something
about that attraction. Alec knows that Celia is attracted
to him and he uses the opportunity of a dangerous new case
to
get Celia to see if they are a one night wonder or could it
lead to something much more? Celia Carter has never forgiven herself for letting herself
care for a man who almost killed her family. She is
determined
to put her passionate nature aside and work for her brother
in his private investigator office. She is grateful that
Alec is there to help her solve the case of a missing girl.
She agrees to have an affair with Alec until the case
is solved, but will they both be able to walk away after
the case is solved? In UNCOVERED, Harris Black finds nude photos of a
woman and some notes about him from the woman saying how
she is in love with Harris. Curious, he enlists the aid of
a private investigator firm to search for the woman. What
will he do when he finds out that the woman he is searching
for has been there all along. BEGUILED and WANTON are two of my all-time favorite stories
by Lori Foster. Each story shows how Ms. Foster
seemlessly draws in the reader. UNCOVERED is a chance to
revisit with some of my favorite characters. It was
fun to reread these two books, it made me fall for the
characters all over again. In BEGUILED, Dane and Angel
are electric
together and we are also introduced to Mick Dawson and Alec
Sharpe. Your heart just melts when Dane is seen holding
the
baby to his chest just cuddling him. WANTON features the man I consider mine, Alec Sharpe. I
loved Alec in BEGUILED and in WANTON you get to see
why Celia is more then a match for him. Alec has a sinister
side that most people see, but Celia knows that
there is so much more to Alec. In UNCOVERED, it was
fun to watch Clair throws Harris for a loop when jogging
one night and acts on her attraction. My favorite has got
to be their views on the difference between lust and
fantasy. FALLEN ANGELS is the perfect book for those who want to
add to their Lori Foster collection. Get it because like
all books by Lori Foster, FALLEN ANGELS will fly off the
shelves. Barb Hicks
