Two years ago, sexy tough-guy bodyguard Wesley "Hawk" Monroe shared an ill-fated one-night stand with the sleek, elegant Elizabeth Carrington. It's taken Hawk awhile to get over that experience, so he's not very happy when his boss, Elizabeth's father, orders him to protect Elizabeth when an international criminal threatens revenge on all Carringtons.

Elizabeth is shocked to see Hawk when he arrives to escort her to a safe place. The forced closeness they must endure creates a heated battle of wills and sets their passions aflame. Can they ever come to terms with the issue of trust? They better, for their lives depend on it.

We first met Hawk and Elizabeth in THE PERFECT TARGET. I'm glad they got their own story, and what a one it is! A good read.
