REVIEW

"A great story with many little twists and turns."

Silvie Georgiana has accepted assignments from the Duke of Yveshire before. She simply gathers the information he needs and he pays her. This time Silvie is having difficulty reconciling her actions with the whispers of her conscience. The duke wants to see Robert Dovenby completely destroyed.

Silvie's been hired into Dove's household disguised as a young man, but what she discovers is in contrast to the picture that's been painted. Does Dove really lead a double life? Is he dangerous and corrupt? She's certain the duke isn't telling her everything, but with her heart more on the line every day, Silvie's not sure she wants to know the truth.

An almost poetic writing style puts the cap on a great story with many little twists and turns. It had a more developed heroine point of view, but it doesn't detract from the hero's strong character. A recommended read.

From the author of The Seduction comes a sizzling tale of intrigue, stolen pasts, and secret identities, as two people with something wicked to hide unwillingly surrender to the blazing passion of love.

Summary

It was the last thing he expected...to catch a beautiful intruder disguised as a man, rummaging through his bedroom. The fair lady claimed she was stealing one of his cravats for a wager, but Robert Sinclair Dovenby—known throughout fashionable London as Dove—suspects there is far more to "George" than meets the eye.

Little does Dove imagine, however, that Sylvie Georgiana, Countess of Montevrain, is an agent hired to determine whether he's guilty of treason. To uncover his well- guarded secrets, Sylvie finds herself having to stay dangerously close to her mischievous adversary. But when the masquerade comes undone, will she be able to betray the one man she thinks she could love?
