"This sequel to WIND OF THE WOLF is exciting with great characters."
After Cat married Ty Kincaid, they left loved ones and
their home in Wyoming, so Ty could fulfill his obligation
as a soldier in the Confederate Army. Although Cat gets to
see Ty occasionally when he passes through, the one thing
she wants is a baby. When the doctor confirms she's
pregnant, Cat decides to find Ty and tell him. But when his
platoon gets ambushed, their world comes crashing
down. Cat is ordered to stay out of sight with their
longtime friend, Caleb, who's badly hurt, while Ty covers
their backs and ends up being captured. Cat and Caleb return to Wyoming. Caleb lost his leg, and
during the operation to save him, Cat miscarried her baby.
While telling their stories to their Texas Ranger friend
Cole, the name Wade Bishop is mentioned. Cole gets angry
because he's been looking for Bishop for kidnapping his
nieces, Amanda and Jenny. Cat suggests they go to New York
to bust Ty out of prison and see if Wade is also there.
Ty's escape goes as planned, but Jenny is again kidnapped.
Under the direction of a nun, the friends are able to
rescue her. This sequel to WIND OF THE WOLF was very exciting for me to
read. I knew the characters, who have great personalities,
so I enjoyed it all the more.
