"Excellent story - sexy and emotional."
To keep his family from falling into total ruin and losing
their home, Captain Liam Lockhart heads to London to
befriend his English cousin. Once there, he plans to find
and steal back the gold and ruby beastie that belongs to
the Scottish Lockharts. Nine-year-old Natalie soon sees
Liam as the prince that will save her and her mother,
Ellen, while Ellen worries about Natalie's mental health. After sneaking upstairs, which has been forbidden to Liam,
he learns this is practically a prison for Ellen and
Natalie. But he continues to go there when Ellen's father
leaves the house. Soon Liam begins an affair with Ellen and
they fall in love. When the opportunity to steal the
beastie finally arrives, Liam is at odds. He wants to take
Ellen and Natalie with him, but what kind of life can a
soldier offer a lady? And Ellen must leave to save her
daughter's life. Ellen eventually takes matters into her own hands. She ties
up Liam, grabs the beastie for herself, then flees to an
old friend's home. Liam vows to follow, seeking revenge.
However, he returns home empty-handed only to find Ellen
and Natalie waiting for him. Ms. London tells an excellent story - very sexy and
emotionally moving. I shed a few tears and had some good
chuckles. I am really looking forward to the next story in
this exciting new trilogy.
