"Sizzling passion!"
One night of blazing but unexpected passion leads Kate
Adams to a point of no return. She's been attracted to her
boss of three years, Michael Hawkins, since she started
working for him but he's never seemed to show any personal
interest in her. Until one night a celebratory toast of
champagne for a job well done leads to irresistible lust.
Two months later, Kate finds herself pregnant and very sure
that she can't continue an impersonal relationship with
Michael -- especially since he's gone out of his way to make
it clear that hot passionate night is best forgotten or
ignored. She walks out on the job and the man she cares
for, knowing she can no longer ignore how she feels -- but
it doesn't take long for Michael to turn the tables on her. Michael Hawkins grew up an orphan at the Granger Home for
Boys. He knows what it's like to grow up without love, a
home or a father. The lack of deep emotions in his
liaisons has earned him the nickname of 'Tin-man' and that
suits him fine -- except when it comes to Kate. Kate is the
best assistant he's ever had and although he denies the
lust he feels for her, one night his control slips.
Despite his efforts to ignore what happened, Michael has to
face up to certain things when Kate walks out on him. He
quickly realizes he's prepared to go to great lengths to
keep her in his life, as long as it doesn't mean letting
her into his heart. EXPECTING THE BOSS'S BABY is a beautiful romance written by
an awesome author. Two endearing characters, a moving plot
and sizzling passion make Leanne Banks' EXPECTING THE
BOSS'S BABY a great read. Kate is a sweet, gentle woman with enough sass to keep
Michael in line. I really enjoyed meeting her. She's
definitely the kind of character you'd want to be friends
with. Michael ... well, this guy, you've just got to love
him. Domineering, aloof, 'clueless', sexy, macho, loveable
and vulnerable, all rolled into one. My heart went out to
the boy he was and the man he became. I was totally
enchanted with him by the time he went looking for the cat
with an open can of tuna. Like I said, you just gotta love
this guy. Talking about guys, I'm eagerly waiting to read
Ms. Banks' next release in the Million Dollar Men series
entitled MILLIONAIRE HUSBAND that will bring us the story
of Michael's friend, Justin Langdon, in March 2001. Leanne Banks is a pro at writing captivating romance that
sizzles across the pages and still packs an emotional punch
that hits you straight in the heart. EXPECTING THE BOSS'S
BABY is a book I highly recommend.
