"Heart -Warming Tale"

Valerie, a juvenile court judge, has twin twelve-year-old boys. She worries about them constantly especially Brian who has an eating disorder. The boys try out for the basketball team but only Blake makes the team because Brian is not strong enough. Valerie visits the coach hoping he will put Brian on the team.

Kirk had a high powered job, became wealthy, but quit when he realized that he had become an uncaring shark in the business world. He hadn't given time to his family when they needed him and when his daughter died, he finally looked at himself and didn't like what he saw. He becomes a traffic guard and a children's basketball coach. He really cares about the children and is especially interested in a young boy, Abraham, who has problems at home.

Kirk and Valerie both care about all of the children but don't always see eye to eye about how to solve the problems they encounter. The attraction is strong between them but can it hold up when all the secrets of their lives are revealed?

FOR THE CHILDREN is a family story about people trying to make a difference. The choices are not that clearly cut but Valerie and Kirk always try to help in the best way they can. They seem to be an ideal couple but will they be able to accept the mistakes that they each made along the way? The reader cannot help but root for the boys that they care so strongly about. FOR THE CHILDREN is a warm hearted tale by the accomplished author, Tara Taylor Quinn.

Summary

Kirk Chandler and Valerie Simms—two people who'll do anything for children.

Valerie is a juvenile court judge. She spends her days helping troubled kids—including her own fatherless twin boys.

Through her sons, she meets Kirk Chandler. Kirk's given up a successful corporate career and dedicated himself to helping the children in his Phoenix community...as a basketball coach, as a crossing guard, as an adult who encourages them to strive for the best.

Kirk becomes an increasingly important part of her family's life, even spending Christmas with Valerie and her twins. And Valerie discovers that she and Kirk not only share a commitment to protecting children, they share a deep attraction—and a personal connection that shocks them both.
