REVIEW

"Dream Lover"

Terra and Inez shared dreams, erotic, hot dreams. They've never met except in dreams and now Terra was coming to claim her as his bride! He was a horseman, half man half horse. According to the legends, once you've shared dreams with a horseman you were destined to marry. The only problem was Inez didn't want to get married; not to anyone. Now Terra was coming to her village to claim her!

Terra was a strong masculine handsome man. However Inez didn't want to lose her independence and give up her career. They decided to go outside and talk rather then have everybody listening to their conversation. Terra took Inez for a ride. What a wonderful feeling! For Inez it was the most wonderful ride she'd ever had! She was never going to let Terra go, ever. Still unsure whether she wants to marry Terra Inez agrees to spend the night with Terra and give him an answer in the morning. After a night of amazing lovemaking Inez agrees to marry Terra.

Far from having to give up her work as a Gatherer as she feared Terra becomes her Horseman on these trips. They have to fly north to gather Rockblood. It's the only substance that helps the people when they get the Plague that sweeps through the colonies.

One day two of Terra's recent graduates showed up at Hornsview, answering the call for more carriers. One of them, Linn was a nice pleasant Horseman but the other, Kraig had an attitude problem! He hated Terra with a passion. One day Casper the leader of the security forces came to Kraig with a proposition. Casper who hated all Horsemen and Terra especially because he had married the woman Casper was planning to marry! The pair had made a plan to wait for the most opportune moment and then kill both Terra and Inez.

This was a very interesting book. This reviewer has been fascinated by centaurs ever since she read about them in stories about Greek Myths. The story was well written. The author set the world in the distant past so it was believable.

Terra was a strong alpha male. His saving grace was that he loved his mate so much that he would die to protect her. Inez was a strong character as well as equally loving. The sex scenes between the two were extremely hot and plentiful. If you like hot steamy sex then this book is for you. If you're not in the mood for lots of sex skip them and the story is still worth a read.

The secondary characters were an interesting bunch. Kraig had a lot of jealousy and anger in him. He kept it well camouflaged. Casper was portrayed as an evil greedy villain with no redeeming qualities. The other characters were a nice mix of normal people. This reviewer would recommend this book.
