"Another great time travel!"
Dee Davis' romantic suspense books are simply astounding.
The same can be said of her paranormal time travels. Ever
since I read her first time travel about Scotland
(EVERYTHING IN IT'S TIME), I've hoped that she would write
another Scottish time travel book. My wait is finally
over! This book is about Marjory Macpherson and Ewen Cameron.
Ewen falls off a cliff in a landslide and dies or so
everyone thinks. Marjory is relieved that Ewen has been
killed in an accident but knows she will have to deal with
Ewen's brother Allen and father Torcall soon enough. Meanwhile Ewen 'wakes up' and finds out he has amnesia but
he's different now. He's not the old Ewen. When Marjory
confronts him she knows something's different but knows it
won't last. The old Ewen will be back as soon as his
memory comes back. Marjory finds that she could learn to
love this new Ewen but is very reluctant because she knows
what will happen if she gives him her heart and then he
regains his memory. Still Marjory has other worries, like what will Alan and
Torcall Cameron will think and what will they do? She knows
they won't be happy with this new Ewen. They will want the
old one back. Ewen is so confused. He knows something's wrong with the
whole picture but until he gets his memory back he can't
really do anything. What will he do when he figures out
that not only is he not Ewen but he's not even from this
century? I was utterly fascinated by this whole story. The whole
concept of time travel was handled so very intriguingly in
this book that it made me not want to put the book down for
any reason. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and eagerly
look forward to the next one.

SummaryROSE
Marjory Macpherson felt rebirth at hand. She'd known
fifteen years of winter since her parents' brutal murder
at the hands of the rival Cameron clan. But now
Ewenthe enemy son she'd been forced to
marrywas dead, perished in a rockslide. Marjory
rejoiced. She could shed her thorns...at least, until her
husband's father returned.
IS A ROSE
Yet, was her husband dead? When Marjory went to retrieve
Ewen's body, she found instead a living breathing man,
covered in blood, talking strangely but very much alive.
BY ANY OTHER NAME
Although he wore her husband's face and kilt, Marjory
recognized salvation. Whether he was a kinder Ewen or
another who, as he claimed, had been transplanted from the
future, the man she'd found was the key, a strange twist
of fate that reseeded Marjory's future. It was finally
time for Crannag Mhóór to bloom again: a rebirth that
brought with it the promise of true love.
