"Who would have thought so much heat could come from heaven"
In Heaven, several ghosts are sitting around playing cards.
Ruth Newman was worrying abut her son, as usual. When she
invites another ghost to play with them, she meets Sylvia.
Sylvia Harris is also worried about her daughter. She just
wants her to be happy. It doesn't take long for the two to
find out that their kids both live in Dallas. What can two
doting moms do but interfere in their children's life. When Gayla Harris has to deliver a package that came to her
home addressed to her father, she is a little surprised, as
they have not spoken in years. But that doesn't stop her
from going to the hospital to drop off the package. Around
a corner she is run over by the handsome Doctor Dan Newman.
Although there is an instant attraction, Gayla had vowed to
never date a doctor again. Unable to say no, she finally
challenges him to a swimming match. She knows that she can
easily beat him as she had almost made it to the Olympic
trials. She had once been engaged to her father's fair-
haired intern. She had also been pregnant. Somehow she had
lost the trials and the baby the same week. She had also
lost her fiancée and her father at the same time. Her
father decided that she was a loser and gave all his
attention to Marc, her ex-fiancée. The next two years she
went down a spiral of pain with drugs and alcohol. Without
even her mom's support she slowly climbed her way back to
as normal as she could be. Would Dan understand her past or
would he run? Dan is not surprised that Gayla challenged him -- after all
she is her father's daughter. It was too bad that he was
the doctor that her father hated the most. But that doesn't
stop him. At the pool, Gayla finds out that Dan is not
perfect either. Can they forget their pasts and find love.
How will their moms help get them together? DALLAS HEAT is a very powerful story of two imperfect people
who have to work hard to find the love they deserve. Ms.
Jacobs handled their handicaps with such skills that you
walk away admiring their strengths. The sexual scenes
between Dan and Gayla are both hot and tender. Even the
moms are endearing as they learn to work together to get
their two children together. This is part of the Black Gold
series. I look forward to next installment. Keep up the
good work. This is highly recommended.
