"Fantastic Fantasy Story of Vampyre and Fae!"
The Fae and the Drac'olians have been at peace for quite
some time now. The Gods finally stepped in and took
matters into their hands. The Fae were given the sea and
the Drac'olians were given the land. Lhiannan Sidhe, the
Queen of the Vampyre Fae, was held hostage during the time
of the fighting and she, for one, is glad of the truce.
Which is why Lhiannan is so shocked when she "sees"
Abhartach attacking Dun Drac'ola and the slaughter he
engages in. Abhartach is in command of her sister's
warriors. Lhiannan's half-sister, Aeval, is the Queen of
the Fae. Abhartach brings back the Prince of the
Drac'olians as a prisoner. When Abhartach tried to kill
Quentin Moore using The Blood Ruby, the sword shattered. Quentin's destiny is to sire a child with the Fae and lead
his people back to their former ways. They were once
Vampyres. Since they were given the land, they started
walking in the sun. The main problem with the destiny is
Quentin was told repeatedly by his father that any woman
who became pregnant by him would die during the birth,
just as his own mother did. When Quentin sees Lhiannan, he
desires her, but he's afraid to act on those desires. He
doesn't want Lhiannan to die giving birth to his child. M.A. duBarry has written a fantastic story with THE BLOOD
RUBY. It's filled with all of my favorite things, the Fae,
Vampyres, immortal warriors and even Vampyre Fae. Readers
will be enthralled by the story from the first page and
will hate to see the story end. This is one of the most
original takes I have seen on Vampyres, and especially the
Fae. The evil characters are chillingly portrayed and the
good characters are Vampyres! There's enough of a variety
of characters in this story to please everyone! This is
one you don't want to miss.
