REVIEW

"Sexy romp with depth of character and plot."

Angel Buchanan finds her reporter's objectivity challenged when she decides to do a story on the death of artist Stephen Whitney, a beloved American icon who just happens to be the father who abandoned her as a young girl. She wants the world to know the truth about this man and the chance to put some of her own personal demons to rest.

She certainly never expects to like Stephen's widow, Lainey, or to discover a sister she never knew she had in teenaged Katie. But the assignment has another unexpected twist - a second potential scoop in the form of handsome Cooper Jones, Katie's protective uncle - a former hotshot attorney who mysteriously dropped out of sight a couple of years ago.

Cooper's initial suspicion of the beautiful blonde stranger soon develops into an attraction, but like Angel, he has his own secrets to protect, as well as his grieving family. Even as their physical relationship heats up, Connor and Angel are certain they can keep their hearts uninvolved. Too bad their hearts have other plans...

I was expecting a light, sexy romp and was pleasantly surprised to not only find that, but also characters who had some depth and made me really care about them. You'll want to put a "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door when you start reading this story!

Summary

You can choose your friends, but you can't choose your family. Investigative reporter Angel Buchanan dug up a whopping surprise: The late "Artist of the Heart" Stephen Whitney -- famous for his family values -- was the father who'd abandoned her when she was four. And there's nothing like the reading of a will to bring people out of the woodwork, especially relatives you never knew you had... ...Such as the grieving widow and her sexpot twin sister...and a hunky man Angel is thrilled to learn is not any kind of cousin at all. He's C.J. Jones, the legendary lawyer determined to keep her quiet about her late, not-so- great deadbeat dad's secret life. Angel knows he'll try to woo her into submission, but how can she resist? The setting: Tranquility House, a remote retreat containing plenty of private rooms and romantic hideaways. But how far will C.J. go to get what he wants? And, for that matter, how far will Angel?
