"Egyptian setting provides adventure and passion."
Sarah Pendergrass has been called to her father's bedside.
Roger Pendergrass has spent many years as an archeologist
awhile leaving the motherless Sarah in boarding schools.
Believing that Queen Tiy's curse is causing his rapidly
failing health, Roger wants Sarah to return his last
artifacts to Egypt. Sarah isn't sure she's the right person
to do the job, but he says she's the only one left to do
so, since his partner, Jake Mitchell, refuses to return the
items. When Jake arrives at Roger's to show the artifacts
to an interested party, the items are gone. That's when
Jake realizes Roger is serious about sending everything
back to Egypt. Jake first meets Sarah while she's having a huge crate
loaded onto a ship. Since she's using her mother's maiden
name, he doesn't associate her with Roger. Jake is
attracted to Sarah and his feelings become quite intense.
Sarah wants to hate Jake for all the years her father
pushed her aside to be with him, but her attraction to Jake
is too strong. Adventure and passion make this a good story. Jake and
Sarah are lively characters who keep the plot moving to an
exciting conclusion.
