REVIEW

"A Super Space Story!"

Ian Hamilton, stepson and appointed heir to the throne of Rom B'kah- king of the galaxy, is traveling incognito on a fact finding mission for his stepfather. Unrest is spreading on the fringes of the galaxy and disgruntled factions on Earth are trying to get Earth to pull out of it's membership in the Federation. This could have serious consequences for Earth and disrupt the peace that the Federation and the King haveworked so hard to maintain.

Ian and the crew of his star ship Sun Devil have met with many disturbing setbacks during their month of travel, including the loss of two pilots due to drunkenness, and now the third pilot has died in an apparent drunken overdose on the small trade route planet called Donovan's Blunder. He needs another pilot, but pilots are scarce in thefrontier. To top things off, he gets word that the United States Senator who began the movement to withdraw Earth from the Federation is also traveling through the frontier. Ian needs to catch up with him and find out what he is up to, and he needs to do it NOW.

But he can't even leave the miserable planet without a pilot! Then as he is sitting in a cafe, contemplating his bad fortune, luck drops in his lap in the form of a pixieish female named Tee, who obviously is on the run and is hiding something, but also claims to be a pilot. He is desperate enough to hire her on the spot, and assist her in alluding the pursuing authorities. Little does he know that he has opened the door to a different kind of trouble. "Tee" is actually Princess Tee'ah Dar, a member of the royal family, soon to be betrothed to a Prince, and niece to Ian's stepfather, the King. Tee'ah has fled her planet, herarranged marriage, and the stifling rules of behavior that are applied to Princesses, who are not allowed any freedom. She intends to make her own way in life, and is eager to explore the galaxy.

Ian and Tee'ah have rough sailing ahead as they travel through space in an attempt to save the future peace of the galaxy and discover who is trying to sabotage the mission - all the while fighting feelings for each other that they know can not be allowed to develop. He must marry for political advantage and she will never marry Royalty and give up her hard won freedom.

THE STAR PRINCE is the sequel to Ms. Grant's THE STAR KING, and is the story of the son of THE STAR KING's heroine (Jasmine Hamilton), and the niece of it's hero. Those of us who love "futuristics" and space travel will love this story. It has all the elements I look for: A strong take charge kind of hero, an intelligent, feisty heroine, strange new worlds, adventure, and an eclectic cast of characters (including a very familiar red headed secretary named Linda). Ian and Tee are a great pairing, They are each out to prove their worth to themselves and others, but are willing to compromise to give the other what he or she needs. There is also a nice secondary love story between the mansent to track Tee down and the woman he hires to help him. I was highly entertained andsorry to see the story end. I am hoping for more offerings from Ms. Grant featuring this family.

From PNR Reviews
He was the handpicked heir, an Earth dweller striving to be the consummate Vash prince. She was a royal Vash princess, striving to break the stifling bonds of tradition. She wanted to spread her wings, he needed a starpilot, badly. They had little in common....except a love, written in the Stars!

A Graduate of the Air Force academy and a commercial airline pilot, Susan Grant is no stranger to risk taking. The bold heroine of her debut novel, ONCE A PIRATE, launched a new romance sub-genre, dubbed "aviation romance". Ms. Grant continued to rock the romance world by giving a mature heroine a second chance at love and the opportunity to realize her long denied dreams in THE STAR KING.

Her own star on the rise, this award winning author has penned yet another glorious tale of interstellar romance, filled with honorable men, strong independent women, and considerable humor. THE STAR PRINCE takes an unusual young couple, weighted with the high expectations of a powerful dynasty, on a wonderful journey of growth and self discovery. Fans of THE STAR KING will love THE STAR PRINCE.
