REVIEW

"Not Your Usual Presents Novel!"

Holly Stanton has a problem — one that's being ignored by everyone in Querruel International, the company she works at. It's never easy to deal with sexual harassment, but when the man doing the harassing is the son of the managing director things become incredibly complicated. But Holly's had enough, and she doesn't care if it means she'll lose her job. Well, not that much, at least.

In steps Jacques Querruel, owner of Querruel International, a man both alluring and unexpectedly unorthodox. He actually listens to her complaints and more, takes them seriously. And then offers her a job on his elite research team in Paris — all expenses paid, everything above board. The offer is amazing — it would whisk her through years of trudging work in the lower ranks. But the offer is too good to be true — especially as it means working with Jacques personally!

THE PARISIAN PLAYBOY is not your usual Harlequin Presents novel — besides taking place (mostly) in Paris, the book is very light on the 'usual' category standbys. It's like a slow breath of air... a sweet visit to a foreign land. The romance is gradual, as Holly guards her heart fiercely, and she does seem a little naïve at times, but Jacques is an amazing hero who, thank goodness, has quite a bit of patience. The characterization is excellent. The story is intensely emotional, but still sweet and slow in pace and, though it's marketed with the "In Love with the Boss" logo on it, the boss/employee angle is very minor. PLAYBOY is really just a romance between two people, and that's all. If you've ever dreamed of visiting a different country and falling in love, *this* is the novel to read. Readers looking for scorching sex may want to pass, however, as the actual sexual content of the novel is very limited.
