"Fifth installment in Puzzle Lady series is funny and emotional."
Cora Felton, whose face graces the puzzle lady column in
the Bakerhaven Gazette, is hearing wedding bells again.
She's planning to marry Raymond Harstein III, and Sherry
Carter, Cora's niece, is to be maid of honor. While
planning the wedding, Cora and Sherry are in for a surprise
when Sherry's ex-husband, Dennis Pride, shows up. Brenda
Wallenstein, Sherry's best friend, announces that she and
Dennis are getting married. Prior to the wedding, Cora starts receiving cryptic
messages warning her not to marry Raymond. She thinks the
messages are a prank until, just hours before the wedding
rehearsal, Raymond is found dead by Dennis, who becomes the
prime suspect. Dennis denies killing Raymond, but his
behavior indicates otherwise. Now Cora and Sherry must work
to solve the cryptic clues and stop a killer. This is Hall's fifth book in the Puzzle Lady series. The
story was funny with some emotional elements. It's an
enjoyable, easy read, and for a puzzle-solver, ideal. I
enjoyed it enough that I'm planning to read other books in
the series.
