"Wonderful setting with two mature, good people learning to accept their differences."
Dr. John Calloway, chief surgeon and North-West Mountie, is
horrified that his men ordered him a mail-order bride. He's
angry that they dragged the poor woman across the country
for nothing. Sarah O'Neill wants a chance to start a new life, and it
doesn't hurt that the opportunity comes from the part of
her country where her brother had last lived. It would be
wonderful to be a wife and mother and to track down her
brother, Keenan. While devastated that gorgeous John doesn't want a bride,
Sarah decides to stay and find her brother. Only her
reputation is shot by the unconventional circumstances and
John steps in to do the right thing. It's nice to read a romance about two mature, good people.
No childishness, no temper tantrums, just some
misunderstandings and learning to accept their differences.
I really enjoyed this book and wish I could be friends with
Sarah.
