The plot for THE BILLIONAIRE'S PREGNANT MISTRESS is not a new one, but Lucy Monroe made sure the there was nothing predictable about it. This novel left me guessing most of the time and that's one reason I enjoyed it so much.

The pace is even and swift as the story moves from France to New York to Greece and the scintillating sexual tension and passionate love scenes are brilliantly suited to the Harlequin Presents line. I simply couldn't put this book down!

Dimitri is an alpha hero to the core and yet so vulnerable in his love for the feisty, beautiful Xandra. High-handed and arrogant, Dimitri represents the true alpha male so well known and suited to the Harlequin Presents books. Watching him come to realize how strong his feelings are for Xandra was such fun. He acts domineering and ruthless to start with - a fact which is quite masterfully depicted by the author - and as the story progresses, the reader gets the opportunity to see his tough exterior shell fall away as his pure, ever-faithful, oh-so-vulnerable heart emerges. Perfect. It's so easy to care for this character.

Xandra was an excellent match for Dimitri. Even when the odds seem against her, she stays strong and gives back as good as she gets - a fact I found very refreshing. She's vulnerable, for sure, but she didn't break in the face of adversity and with every twist of the plot, she surprised me.

Avid Harlequin Presents readers are sure to agree, Ms. Monroe has delivered a romance that resonates with deep gut- wrenching emotion and sports well-developed, three- dimensional characters who will be remembered well into the future. Summary
