"The last book in the Some Like It Hot series and well worth the wait!"
This is the third book in the Some Like It Hot
trilogy by Jamie Denton and tells us Ben's story. Ben's
story is very complicated. He remembers what it was like
with his firefighter parents and how things when down when
his mother died when he was ten. It is definitely not a
pleasant memory and Ben had to do things that he's not
proud of just to keep he and his brothers safe, fed,
clothed and in their home. Jana Linney is the OSHA investigator sent to
investigate one of the firefighter's death in a blaze but
the night before she is to report to Trinity Station she
meets her friends in a bar and her friends dare her to pick
up a guy and take him home with her. She picks Ben of all
people having no idea how close they will become in the
weeks to come. Their one night stand turns out to be so much more
for both of them but how can they work together and have a
relationship? That remains to be seen. It doesn't help
that Cale and Drew are watching everything Ben and Jana do
and say to one another and are right there to poke and prod
them right along. Can Ben ever let go of what he thinks are his
responsibilities to love Jana? Can Jana make him understand
that his responsibilities are all grown up and can take
care of themselves now? Jamie Denton's writing ability really shines in
this trilogy. I thoroughly enjoyed each and every story. I
felt as if I got to know each brother and suffered through
each relationship with them. I look forward to another
series from Jamie Denton hopefully soon!

SummaryThe heat is on!
OSHA investigator Jana Linney has never had good sex. So
when she approaches hot firefighter Ben Perry in a bar,
she's not sure what she's thinking. Having a one-night
stand is totally not her, but if anyone can "help" her, he
can. The next morning, Jana knows once isn't enough.
Unfortunately, her chances of a repeat performance are
remote when she discovers she's investigating the death of
one of his co-workers....
Ben never intended for his night with Jana to be anything
more. His eager pupil, though, makes him question his
entire decision. Then, when Jana shows up at the
firehouse, he knows their relationship can't go any
further. Unless, of course, she gives the case to someone
else. However, Jana won't budge and says they can keep
their professional and personal lives separate. But
there's nothing professional about his plans for her!
