"Thrilling Romantic Suspense"
Paris Gibson works at a local radio station on the night
shift playing love songs and taking calls from her fans.
Valentino has been an infrequent caller sometimes asking
for advice on his love life. He calls and threatens Paris
and tells her that she advised his girl friend to dump him
and that he is going to get his revenge. He says his girl
friend has only seventy-two hours left to live and then he
is coming after her. Upset, Paris calls the police. Investigator/psychologist, Dean Malloy, has recently
joined the Austin police department. He had been Paris'
fiancé's best friend from college and they had always been
attracted to each other. After her fiancé had been
incapacitated, Paris moved away and went into a low
profile job but now she wants all the help she can get to
find the predator that has kidnapped the teenager,
Janey. Janey and Gavin, Dean's son, have been part of an
internet sex club. There are several suspects in the case but when they go to
ground, the police have a difficult time finding them, so
they study the tapes that Paris has from her job trying to
get a handle on just who the sexual predator could be.
They
even find a similar case where another woman had been
murdered. All the while, Dean and Paris rekindle their
love and Dean's relationship with his son improves. HELLO, DARKNESS starts out with a bang and keeps you
sitting on the edge of your seat throughout the whole
book. Sandra Brown has been on the best seller list
numerous times and after reading this book, you know
exactly why. Her pacing is great and the characters are
fascinating with a lot of thrills, chills and sexual
tension. HELLO, DARKNESS is a romantic suspense at its
best.
