REVIEW

"Exhilarating adventure and nail-biting suspense!"

Faced with the death of his younger brother and the loss of all else he held dear on the devastated planet of Balkanor, Prince Romlijhian B'kah at least has the satisfaction of knowing that he destroyed the evil cult leader, Sharron, who threathened the pacifist Vash civilization. However, during this interaction Rom is exposed to radiation posioning which left his body changed and also left him sterile. Exiled by his father for cutting off the family's male blood lines, Rom becomes an intergalactic smuggler. He blames himself for the death of his brother and also dreams of a gorgeous dark-haired beauty who is destined to be his.

Fighter pilot Jasmine Boswell is blown out of the sky over a Saudi Arabian desert. She awakens with the memory of a beautiful man - a dream most likely where she was transported to the planet of Balkanor and rescued the breathtakingly handsome Crown Prince from death. She goes on with her life and get married to a man who does all he can to crush her spirit and her self-confidence. However, when Earth is visited by the Vash and Jas sees the man from her dreams among the aliens, she decides it's time to change some things in her life.

Susan Grant's THE STAR KING propels the reader into an exciting adventure that is exhilarating and packed with nail-biting suspense. Ms. Grant's vivid imagination is beautifully portrayed in her ability to paint pictures of far-away worlds and alien species.

The conflict is certainly engaging and the characters were delightfully passionate, and very real. I enjoyed the intriguing suspense that unfolded with full impact once Jas and Rom meet and felt myself totally carried away with them.

For those who enjoy futuristic romances, THE STAR KING is definitely worth reading - you are guaranteed a few hours of magic and science fiction fantasy. Definitely an entertaining tale well worth the time.
