"Complex characters, deeply emotional issues, plenty of action."
The Malvano family are firefighters, their lives full of
drama. Mitch, in a bad marriage, is staying married for his
kids' sake, but then he meets Megan. Jenny, single and
wanting a baby, asks her best friend, Grady, to provide the
sperm. Who knew it would change their relationship so much?
And Zach, a divorced father of two, is paying the price for
his former life as a heel. Familial love provides support
as each battles through emotional turmoil and physical
danger. AFTER THE FIRE has complex characters, deeply emotional
issues and plenty of action. Real-life problems paired with
average people in extraordinary circumstances make Ms.
Shay's book difficult to put down. A very good read!
