"Wonderful addition to the Saint series."
Ex-pickpocket Sarah Killian returns to London after
finishing her education. She expects to meet her younger
brother and is shocked to find he disappeared years ago
from his boarding school. After learning of his involvement
with a gang of thieves and the possibility that
he's resurrected the infamous Saint of Seven Dials, Sarah
instigates a plan to find him. Blackmailing her dreadful
cousins into offering her hospitality, she hopes to
establish herself as the Saint. After surviving the atrocities of war, Lord Peter Northrup,
fourth son of a duke, wants no more to worry about than
current fashions. His thoughts stray only to aiding his
friends and quietly increasing his fortune, until he meets
an impoverished, beautiful woman. Acknowledging a strong
attraction, Peter rejects making her an offer to become his
mistress as not his style. However, their next meeting
takes place in Peter's social arena, where she appears with
relatives. Sarah presents a mystery and a challenge he
can't resist. Peter faces many hurdles, from evil relatives to
explanations from Sarah about how skillful she is at
stealing. Undaunted, he fights to win this gallant spirit
who's captured his heart. Sarah cares deeply for Peter, but
she's afraid to tell him her secrets. Only when her brother
is in peril does she decide to trust Peter. Ms. Hiatt has outdone herself with this wonderful love
story in her Saint series. New fans will be clamoring to
order her previous novels, while old fans will love this
memorable tale.
