REVIEW

"Definitely a 'Laugh-Out-Loud' book!!"

Harlequin Duets generally promise readers a few hours of fun, relaxation and plenty of laughs and this is definitely the case with GOING IN STYLE / I LOVE LACY by Bonnie Tucker and Lori Wilde.

In GOING IN STYLE, we meet Suzanne Mercer and her quirky family. Years ago, Suzanne was told by three different people -- a tarot card reader, a psychic and a numerologist -- that she would die on her thirtieth birthday. Suzanne's mother believes this too and convinces Suzanne of the same. As her thirtieth birthday draws near, Suzanne realizes she doesn't have much time if she wants to convince Dr. Griff Scott, her hunky neighbor, to sleep with her. Poor Griff is left wondering what's come over his usually shy friend! To make things even more interesting, relying on her insurance policy to cover her debts once she's dead, Suzanne borrows money from loan sharks. However, as they say, the best laid plans can go awry. Find out what happens when Suzanne's thirtieth birthday comes around... and goes by, leaving her in the lurch!

Lori Wilde's I LOVE LACY is another hilarious tale. All her life, nurse Lacy Calder has heard stories from her family about how the Calder women are hit by a thunderbolt when they meet their special, one and only true mate. It happens to Lacy one day at work when she looks up and lays eyes on the new doctor -- and promptly falls off her chair! However, convincing the good doctor that they are meant for each other is not so easy. Dr. Bennett Sheridan may lust after Lacy but he knows lust doesn't last. He only has to look at his parents' miserable marriage to understand that. So he's determined to avoid Lacy and the temptation she represents at all costs. He is successful until he ends up at a nightclub and finds shy Lacy has turned into a very sexy siren!

Bonnie Tucker and Lori Wilde have packed enough humor into this Duet to keep you laughing out loud throughout the book. With colorful characters and quirky situations, both stories are just what the doctor ordered for an afternoon filled with fun and plenty of amusement.

If you're looking for a light-hearted, good-time read, don't miss GOING IN STYLE / I LOVE LACY. This Duet is definitely worth your time and more!
