Roxann Beadleman has dedicated her life to her work as a
volunteer for 'Rescue' - a program that saves women from
abusive husbands, helps them relocate and build new lives.
She's been quite successful until now, when one of her
cases suddenly turns foul and she finds herself and those
she loves in danger. After receiving threats and having
her home ransacked, Roxann is convinced it's time to keep
low and get out of town for awhile. She makes arrangements to go stay with one of her college
professors, an old friend who introduced her to the Rescue
program, in South Bend, Indiana. On the way, Roxann stops

the day. Against her better judgment, she then gives in to
Angora's pleas to let her join Roxann on her road trip to
Indiana. Unwittingly, the two women end up in the midst of an old
unsolved murder and more intrigue and mistrust surrounds
them. It certainly doesn't help that Roxann is wanted for
questioning by the police and has had Detective Joe
Capistrano hard on her heels since she left town! Nor does
her attraction for the sexy Detective make her life any

chilling suspense and titillating romance in a very
exciting way. Ms. Bond has an excellent flair for creating
memorable, warm and amusing characters who are definitely
unique and her sassy humor and dry wit are evident
throughout the tale, making each chapter a frolicking
adventure to savor. Every turn has a new twist or
unexpected surprise, keeping the reader on the edge ofthe
seat, glued to the pages. Stephanie Bond proves to be a masterful storyteller and GOT
