"Intrigue as well as romance"

Sienna Parker is a young police detective currently at work on a case concerning missing military weapons. The prime suspect in her case is David Buckner a naval officer whom she suspects of being the liason between the navy and the gun runners themselves. She believes that by going to Buckner's apartment she will find him, and be able to move forward in her case. What she finds is not Buckner, but instead his brother, A.J. Comacho.

A.J. is also looking for his brother, and after pacifying Sienna that he is who he claims to be he manages to finagle himself into a position of helping with her case. Sienna doesn't like this because not only does A.J. not always want to follow police procedures, but she is strongly attracted to him.

Many times while following leads Sienna and A.J. come up against dead ends. They begin to realize that all is not what it seems. When the case is finally solved they find that their relationship has become closer than either anticipated, and has caused both to reevalutate their lives, and the importance that they have put on their jobs over their personal lives.

Unfortunately as I read I didn't feel the chemistry that was to have been strong and immediate between Sienna and A.J. that I have come to associate with the Harlequin Blaze line. However if you like a book with a good amount of intrigue in it I think that you will enjoy this book.
