"A well planned anthology"
Anyone who knows Elyssa Wentworth believes her significant
other is her company, Allheart.com an online greeting
service. Potential investor Joe Monteigne of Highwire
Industries wants to put capital into her firm because he
sees possibilities, but Elyssa wonders if her attraction
to Joe distorts her opinion. Elyssa's young personal assistant Robyn Barrett is
struggling to get to work on the new ideas but her
productivity has dropped. She is attracted to Steven
Rood , a pianist she met at a club. She wants him, but
she wonders if he can take her seriously as everyone knows
she is a flit. Saleswoman Carole Titus is quite good at bringing in
business to Allheart, but has no faith in men after years
with her ex. That is until she is rescued by senate
staffer Mitch Evans who is on a delayed flight. They are
attracted to one another though she frets over being
almost a decade older than him. Alix Harris is the only one with no male troubles as she
lives with a stud and is as kind a person as anyone can
be. However, Alix's perfect world of delicious breakfasts
and weekend treks, etc. ends when she learns that her
roommate is gay. However there is Marc Preston to
consider. The four novellas are actually one collaborative novel
that has plenty of camaraderie and romance lighting up the
DC skies. The four "tales" plus that of a fifth female
employee that runs through each segment are a delight for
romance readers. The authors insure each woman never
loses their basic personality established relatively
early. Thus the audience receives a warm tale of
friendship and love. Harriet Klausner
