REVIEW

"The Launch Flipside is well worth the read!!"

If I have to judge the Harlequin Flipside line by the launch title STAYING SINGLE by Millie Criswell then I'll have to say that this line will be a big hit! I know I will be eagerly looking forward to seeing how this line will play out. I was a huge fan of the Love and Laughter and the Duets lines. Romantic Comedy is one of my favorite types of books to read and good romantic comedy never fails to keep me entertained.

This is one such book. It starts out with Francie Morelli ducking out on her third wedding. It just didn't feel right again. So what if her mother Josephine would be disappointed for the third time. Matt, her fiancé was a really nice guy but he just wasn't the one who rang her chimes. She didn't know if she'd ever find that guy. Matt is heartbroken and his step-brother Mark, whom Francie has never met decides that little Miss Morelli needs to be taught a lesson and he is just the one to do it.

So Mark sends his parents and Matt on a long extended vacation to Hawaii while he sets his plan for revenge in motion. Mark has no way of knowing that sometimes the best-laid plans tend to backfire on you. The worst part is that he really likes Francie which is not a good thing for the revenge that he's planning.

Francie's boss wants her to get up close and personal with Mark so she can reel him in and get a big deposit from him so they can stay afloat and the IRS will get off their back for a little while longer. Francie really likes working for the public relations firm but she doesn't like the way her boss Ted Baxter operates. Still, she really likes Mark so she doesn't complain too much. There's just no way she's going to fall for him because she's had her share of almost-weddings in her life. She wants to be foot loose and fancy-free. Can Mark change her mind?

This book was absolutely hilarious. Francie's huge and crazy Italian family were simply a hoot. Leo, Francie's gay roommate was just adorable. Not only did I enjoy the story but the characters were entertaining as well. I eagerly look forward to more of Millie's books and to more of the Flipside line!

Summary

Newly Single-Again!

"Engaging men" are lining up for Francesca Morelli, thanks to her enterprising Italian mama. The very able and controlling Josephine has arranged three—count 'em, three—weddings so far for her 29-and-pushing-it daughter. Unfortunately, all three have gone off, uh, without a hitch.

No wonder. Francesca has a thing about the m word. The only vow she's taking is to stay single!

But best man Mark Fielding is going to turn the tables on this woman who discards fiancés like out-of-style shoes. His MO? Charm the sexy brunette into bed. Woo her to the altar with promises of happily ever after—then plot his getaway.

Except...Mark hasn't counted on falling in love....

And Francesca hasn't figured "The Wedding March" really is her new theme song....
