"Well-written and interesting mystery."
Hannah's life is turned upside down, and it's not the first
time. She's always retreated when things go wrong, but she
chooses to begin living again after her friend Milo dies.
His death sets in motion the events that cause Hannah much
pain and bring her back to love and life. Libby becomes an unwelcome house guest, and Hannah is sure
she's up to something. Morgan brings her desires back to
life. Yates, who's staying on the third floor, irritates
her. Murder, arson, threats and pedophiles (did this book
miss much?) bring everyone into Hannah's life. Through
mystery and danger, discovering who to trust and how to
trust herself, Hannah finds love and forgiveness. Sheedy interweaves everyone in Hannah's life, some tightly
and some on the edge. Each chapter is segmented with a
different setting as the plot moves along. I must confess
that I anticipated some of the revelations. Slight twists
were given to my expectations, but not enough to surprise
me. I knew "whodunit" and why long before the end, but I
didn't know how things would ultimately be resolved. I
still wanted to turn the page and read the next part. My
curiosity, combined with well-written text, kept this book
interesting.
