"Different take on vampires makes this book a unique read."
This story is another take on the Vampire Mythos, seemingly
quite a bit different than Ms. Sizemore's wonderful Laws of
the Blood series. In this tale, vampires can be born and made, and many of
them take special drugs so their allergies to silver,
garlic and sunlight can be ignored. One such vampire is
Alexander Reynard, former member of Delta Force, who's in
L.A. to get the treatments that will allow him to continue
to walk in the sunlight. While in L.A., he takes an interim
job as a bodyguard with the Lancer Agency, where he meets
Domini Lancer, granddaughter of the head of the agency, and
the woman fated to be his soul-bonded mate. Only a few
problems trouble their romance, starting with Alec
receiving a faulty dose of the chemical and nearly being
driven feral by a second bout of puberty, and ending with a
crazed group of vampire hunters who've chosen Domini as
their target. With all of this going on, what are a blood-
craving D-boy and his psychic, bodyguard-trained mate to
do? I didn't think I'd like this book nearly as much as I liked
the Laws of the Blood series, but I'm delighted to announce
that I was wrong. I adored I BURN FOR YOU and really hope
it's the beginning of another wonderful vampire series from
Ms. Sizemore.
