"This psychic, edgy romantic suspense is one of the best!"
Holland Banks is head of a prominent psychiatric hospital.
And she's hearing voices in her head, a constant barrage of
murmurings that are scaring her to death. At night, she's
having horrible dreams about not being human and that one
of her hands is evil. She's also starting to think she's
being stalked, although the police find no evidence. Then a
man approaches her at a party, punching security guards and
her father, saying things that sound just like the voices
in her head. The man, Jeff McQueen, an investigative reporter, seems
clearly to have lost his mind. The problem is, he seems to
have lost it just like Holland is losing hers. Bad dreams.
Voices in his head. But when the two touch each other, the
voices stop and they can read each other's minds. Whew! I was hooked from the first page. This one is what I
call a "compulsive" page-turner. You can't put it down -
not to eat, not to sleep (unfortunately). If you like edgy
suspense that keeps you wondering where it's going, this is
the book for you.
